Today marks the first day of the Impact Week Colombia in Bogotá and the first Impact Week of 2017. All members of the Team have arrived throughout the last couple of days. Flying in from Germany, Switzerland and the US we have finally come together in Bogotá. However before we start the Impact Week with our two-day "Train the Trainer" session tomorrow today has been a day of acclimatization and exploring what Colombia's capital has to offer.

Our first day in Colombia has been filled with a lot of new impressions as we took a tour around Cerro de Monserrate, walking around La Candelaria and visiting Usaquén in the north of the country's capital. Getting a glimpse of Bogotá has been a great opportunity to see what Colombian culture is about as we will be working on issues that are unique to the South American country and thus crucial for Bogotá's development and ultimately for Colombia as a whole.
During out tour we already stumbled upon some issues that we strive to tackle during our workshops. As we passed the traffic on our way and hearing about the issue of public transport people especially in Bogotá struggle with, made very clear what our reason for organizing the Impact Week here in Colombia actually is.

Getting back to the city center the day ended with an official introduction to the Impact Week event and dinner at La Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano. We were joined by the Professors and head organizers from the Colombian part of the Impact Week team and had the chance to get to know everybody involved. It is exciting to bring people with so many different backgrounds together to share their knowledge in order to work towards our common goal to foster Entrepreneurship and Intercultural Exchange. We are grateful to have the chance to come together to work on current issues and look forward to an inspiring, though-provoking and fun week ahead!
