IMPACT WEEK YEREVAN 2026

Yerevan, a city of deep heritage and bold innovation, is hosting its first-ever Impact Week.

Join us in redefining possibilities through design thinking and teamwork!

What to expect

After 59 successful versions of Impact Week in 18 countries, we are thrilled to announce our first Impact Week in Armenia! With our local partners, the Armenian State University and TUMO labs, we are bringing our Design Thinking Training to Armenia’ capital Yerevan, where we will create impact and innovate on the country’s most pressing challenges!

With our two-module approach, we will train a new cohort of Junior Coaches through a hybrid ‘Train-the-Coach’ phase, which includes 4 online modules and two days onsite. The international and local participants will then take on their new roles as Design Thinking Coaches and work together with students and other local participants to find solutions for local challenges. This practical phase provides new Coaches the unique opportunity to directly apply what they have learned while being guided by experienced Senior Coaches.

The innovative and customer-focused orientation of the Design Thinking methodology helps all participants refine how they tackle challenges, and the unique spirit of the Impact Week experience will definitely inspire you to look at entrepreneurship and social innovation from a different perspective.

What are the benefits of joining a hybrid Impact Week?
  • The Train-the-Coach is spread over time so that you can fit it better into your schedule and have more time to absorb, reflect and apply the knowledge.
  • You will learn and apply analog and virtual facilitation skills and thereby learn how to coach not only in-person teams but also remote teams.
  • Additional learnings during the virtual training plus one additional day onsite with focus on coaching skills, teambuilding and intercultural exchange.
  • Upon completion of the program, you will be a trained Junior Design Thinking Coach, having already applied the methodology.
  • You’ll gain key skills through Design Thinking, such as innovation, customer focus, and implementation orientation.
  • The intercultural experience at Impact Week will also help you gain different perspectives on problem solving as well as build your international network, which will be key to boosting your resourcefulness at work as well as creating avenues for future collaborations.
  • In addition, Impact Week promotes local entrepreneurship and social innovation. We enable our local partners to apply Design Thinking themselves and run their own Impact Weeks.

What are the focus areas (track challenges) of this IW?

Each participating team will work on one focus area. During the application process, students can indicate their preferred focus area and will be matched accordingly. Teams will then “own” their challenge and create innovative ideas to tackle it—always keeping the Design Thinking methodology at heart.
Preliminary ideas for tracks include:

  • Diaspora Engagement & Human Capital Integration: AI-driven diaspora networking, blockchain-based remittance, policy frameworks.

  • Utilities & Smart Energy Infrastructure: Smart grid, IoT water conservation, decentralized renewables.

  • AgriTech & Digital Transformation of Agriculture: Precision farming, AI-driven pest control, blockchain transparency.

  • Sustainable Tourism & Cultural Innovation: AI-powered recommendations, digital heritage, eco-tourism certifications.
The challenges are in the final planning stage with our local partners and track mentors and are subject to change.
