Get ready for first ever Impact Week Armenia 2025!

After 52 successful versions of Impact Week in 17 countries, we are thrilled to announce our first Impact Week in Armenia! With our local partners, the Armenian State University and TUMO labs, we are bringing our Design Thinking Training to Armenia' capital Yerevan, where we will create impact and innovate on the country’s most pressing challenges!

Apply now to be a part of the Design Thinking team and get ready for a life-changing experience in Armenia!

What to expect in Yerevan?

Yerevan, known for its ancient heritage and distinctive pink architecture, will play host to a one-week extravaganza of innovation, collaboration, and positive change. It will be the perfect place to start a new experience, featuring a warm continental climate, a lively café culture, and a vibrant atmosphere that will inspire participants throughout the program.

With our two-module approach, we will train a new cohort of Junior Coaches through a 3 day ‘Train-the-Coach’ phase. The international and local participants will then take on their new roles as Design Thinking Coaches and work together with students and other local participants to find solutions for local challenges. This practical phase provides new Coaches the unique opportunity to directly apply what they have learned while being guided by experienced Senior Coaches.

The innovative and customer-focused orientation of the Design Thinking methodology helps all participants refine how they tackle challenges, and the unique spirit of the Impact Week experience will definitely inspire you to look at entrepreneurship and social innovation from a different perspective.

What are the focus areas (tracks) for challenges?

Each participating team will work on one focus area. During the application process, students can indicate their preferred focus area and will be matched accordingly. Teams will then “own” their challenge and create innovative ideas to tackle it—always keeping the Design Thinking methodology at heart.

Preliminary ideas for tracks include:

  • Diaspora Engagement & Human Capital Integration
Creating seamless and innovative platforms to build bridges with Armenia’s large global diaspora with local opportunities, fostering knowledge exchange, investment, and cultural engagement.Focus Areas: AI-driven diaspora networking, digital platforms for skill-sharing, cross-border startup ecosystems, blockchain-based remittance and investment solutions, policy frameworks for talent mobility.
  • Utilities & Smart Energy Infrastructure
Optimizing Armenia’s energy and water management to improve efficiency, sustainability, and resilience.Focus Areas: Smart grid technology, AI-driven energy demand forecasting, IoT-based water conservation, decentralized renewable energy solutions, AI-based outage prediction.
  • AgriTech & DigitalTransformation of Agriculture
Integrating AI, IoT, and precision farming techniques to make Armenian agriculture more sustainable and productive.Focus Areas: Smart irrigation, AI-driven pest control, blockchain for farm-to-table transparency, autonomous farm machinery, real-time soil and crop analytics.
  • Sustainable Tourism & Cultural Innovation
Creating sustainable, immersive, and technology-driven tourism experiences that preserve Armenia’s heritage while boosting economic impact.Focus Areas: AI-powered tourist recommendations, digital heritage experiences, eco-tourism certification, IoT-based visitor management, blockchain for transparent tourism transactions.

The challenges are in the final planning stage with our local partners and track mentors and are subject to change.
